Barbara Hatcher Morgan, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at her daughter's home in Miami, Florida.
Born in Macon, she was the daugher of the late Herschel Hatcher and Ruth Seagraves Hatcher. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Coconut Grove, Florida, and the widow of Horace Pierpont Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was raised in Moultrie and made many trips to Vienna throughout her life visiting relatives and attending Morgan family reunions. She was loved by all for her angelic nature, indomitable spirit, big heart, lively wit and irresistible smile.
She will be greatly missed by her family, including:
Daughter: Kitty Morgan of Miami, FL
Son: John Morgan of Fairfield, CT
Brother: Herschel Hatcher, Jr. of Decatur
Grandchildren: Matthew, Alison, Susannah, Alexandra and Nathaniel Morgan
Memorial services will be held at 4:30 PM Saturday, May 28 in Vienna United Methodist Church. Rev. Shane Green will officiate and burial will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the church following the service.
