B. G. Burnette

B. G. Burnette, age 88, of Hawkinsville, died Friday, June 20, 2003, in a Hawkinsville nursing home.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late John Clark Burnette and Lula Wright Burnette. He was a 50 year Mason, a farmer and a member of County Line Baptist Church. He was a avid hunter and fisherman and while in the WPA, helped with the construction of Robins Air Force Base.

Great Grandchildren: 8
Step Grandchildren: 3

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 23 at County Line Cemetery near Unadilla. Rev. Olin Hamlin will officiate and Fred Ford, Marvin Sinyard, Tommy Williams, Mike Densmore, Emmett "Buck" Wade, Jr., Ken Freifeld, David Anderson and Ray Cape will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6- 8 PM Sunday, June 22 at the funeral home or may be contacted at the residence, 613 Sunset Strip, Hawkinsville.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
