Audrey A. (Arnold) Ransom

Audrey A. Ransom, age 91, of 1229 Borum Street, Unadilla, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late William Leonard Arnold and Mary Wilson Arnold.  Mrs. Ransom worked with the WPA project and at Robins Air Force Base during World War II.  Later she was a manager for Stuckey's in Savannah.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and was widely known for her baking and as an accomplished seamstress.  Her husband, Jack Van Ransom, preceded her in death.

Son: Jack Ransom (Jan) of Unadilla

Brother: Thomas Arnold (Linda) of Carrollton

Sister: Betty Bockman of Gretna, NE

Joshua Ransom of Cordele
Will Ransom of Unadilla

Great Grandchildren:
Darrian Bailey of Vienna
Skylar Bailey of Vienna

Caregiver:
Brenda Lester of Unadilla

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Saturday, December 17 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment following in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service and may be contacted at 1229 Borum Street, Unadilla
