Atha S. Posey, age 94, died Monday, March 14, 2005, in a Perry nursing home.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Rainey F. Scroggins and Mabel Chauncey Scroggins. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and was retired from the Johnson County Health Department where she was a nurse.
Survivors include:
Husband: Ed Posey of Unadilla
Sisters: Vashti Edwards of Macon
Jean Daugherty of Gray
Several Nieces and Nephews Survive
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 16 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Dr. Bob Murphy will officiate and burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Tuesday, March 15 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International, c/o J. O. Cross, Jr. 780 Browns Chapel Road, Unadilla, GA 31091.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
