Asbury Wright

On November 5, 2018, Asbury Wright, known as "Bury" by his friends, passed away at the age of 90, surrounded by his loved ones.

Asbury was born in Dooly County on August 4, 1928  to the late Willie Lee Wright and Nora Register Wright.  He was a farmer since the age of 13 and was once named Georgia's largest Cotton Farmer.  Mr. Wright was also a member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years,  Charlene B. Wright, his daughter, LaVonne Wright and his sister, Mary Bowen.

Survivors include: Daughters: Linda Wright Evans of Pinehurst Leisa W. Easom (Donald) of Vienna Judi W. Davis of Hawkinsville

Son:  Julius A. Wright of Pinehurst

Grandchildren: Ben Haley, Chip Haley, Suzanne Clark, Brenton Easom, Nicole Krogmeier, Coburn Shirah, Megan Wheeler, Julius Wright and Brandon Rogers

Great Grandchilren:  13

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 9 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Thursday, November 8 at the funeral home.
