Arthur Etheridge

May 9, 1911 — February 5, 2003

Arthur Etheridge, age 91, of 1277 Third District Road, Unadilla, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

Born in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Thomas B. Etheridge and Viola Nobles Etheridge. He was a farmer and had been a Mason for 56 years. Mr. Etheridge was the oldest member and deacon of Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church and was one of the founders of the Wesley Chapel Conventional Singing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Stokes Etheridge and his son, Bobby Etheridge.

Karen Prince of Cordele
Sister: Lola Everett of Vienna
Grandchildren: 10
Great Grandchildren: 12
Great Great Grandchildren: 1

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 7 at Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Stewart-Allen Clark and Rev. Jerry Jarrell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jody Etheridge, Jimmy DeLoach, Dawson Jarrell, Bronze Kimbrell, Gary Nagel, Brian Copeland, Brett Copeland and Richard Nettles.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, February 6 at the funeral home.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
