Annie Lee Busby

Mrs. Annie M. Busby, age 101, of Unadilla, died Monday, October 11, 2004.
She was born in Mt. Airy, Georgia, on August 8, 1903 to the late Daniel McIntyre and Mary Lou LaCrecia McIntyre. In 1933, she and her husband, the late Lucious Busby, came to Dooly County where they purchased a farm near Unadilla. Mrs. Busby worked side by side with her husband on the farm while raising three children. She loved people and especially enjoyed her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In 2003, a host of family and friends joined her in celebrating her 100th birtday. Her only son, Lavon Busby preceded her in death in 1980.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 13 in Smyrna Independent Methodist Church. Rev. Cham White will officiate and burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12 from 7 - 9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smyrna Independent Methodist Church, c/o William Sparrow Route 1 Box 158B Unadilla, GA 31091.
