Alton D. Tharpe, age 61, of 302 First Street, Unadilla, died Monday, May 25, 2015, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late James C. Tharpe. Alton was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla.
Survivors include:
Mother: Eva K. Dees of St. Augustine, FL
Sister: Edna Grace Garner of Griffin
Brother: Johnny Tharpe of Florida
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be at 2 PM Thursday, May 28 in Walnut Cemetery with Rev.Tom Teate officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
