A. C. Daniels, Jr., age 90, of Vienna, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late Asa Charles Daniels and Willa Davis Daniels. He was a member and Deacon of Vienna First Baptist Church. Mr. Daniels was the past-chairman of the Dooly County Board of Commissioners and served his community in various other capacities including: the Fullington Academy Board, Chairman of the Dooly Medical Center Hospital Authority, the board of directors of Middle Georgia Technical College, the Dooly-Crisp Empowerment Zone Board and as a member of the Vienna City Council. He was a farmer, an insurance agent, a former owner of Pinehurst Equipment Company, also served on the Small Business Council of Georgia for four years under Governor Joe Frank Harris and formed the Dooly County Economic Council.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Daniels.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, April 9 in Vienna First Baptist Church with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, April 8 at the funeral home.
