Jimmy Mcdowell

Jimmy McDowell, age 59, of 534 Second Street, Unadilla, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

He was born in Hawkinsville, was a member of Grovania Baptist Church and worked at Borum Service Center in Unadilla.   He was a well-known figure in the local auto parts industry and his knowledge and expertise were unmatched.  He also enjoyed a good pool game and participated in many local tournaments.  Jimmy had an outgoing personality.  He was always friendly to everyone he met and many will miss his cheerful "good morning Facebook world" posts he shared most mornings.

Survivors include: Parents:  Willie Ed and Mary McDowell of Elko

Brother:  Ronnie McDowell (Del) of Elko

Sister:  Kathy Etheridge of Elko

Nieces/Nephews:  Michael Etheridge, Christopher Etheridge, Dusty McDowell (Sarah), Camree Steese (James), Brent McDowell (Karen) and Mikailea McDowell

Several great niece and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, December 18 in the Haynesville First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rick Odom officiating.

The family will greet friends 8:30 - 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 18 at the funeral home.
