Helen D. Cross, age 91, of 1776 Third District Road, Unadilla, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Pinehurst on July 3, 1926 to the late L. J. Dupree and Lida Davis Dupree.  She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Harvey "Finn" Cross for 67 years.  Her greatest pleasure was cooking for her family, always making sure they had seconds (and thirds).  She was happy to send pies and cakes along with family and the desserts will remain legendary among her family and friends.  Mrs. Cross was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lura D. Kennedy and Alice D. Patton; her brother, James Dupree; her daughter-in-law, Susan C. Cross; her son-in-law, Robert D. Williams.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, December 19 in Harmony Baptist Church with interment in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Monday, December 18 at the funeral home and may be contacted at 1776 Third District Road, Unadilla.
