Gary Peavy, age 70, of 2410 Forehand Road, Vienna, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Emmett Marshall Peavy and Linnie Andrews Peavy.  He worked in the agricultural field for over 40 years.

For many years, Gary was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, taught Sunday School, led the singing and served as youth leader.  Later, he became a member of Vienna United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees and served as Communion Steward.

Gary had a great love of gospel music.  He was a member of the Praise Singers Quartet in the 1970's and 1980's and continued going to gospel concerts until his death.
