Gail Martin, age 71, of 6135 Highway 41 North, Vienna, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at her residence.
Born in Waycross, she was the daughter of the late J. R. Thrift and Virginia Helen Chancey. Gail was strong, but gentle and kind and could light up a room with her smile. She always put others before herself. Gail loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchild. A member of Vienna Church of God, she was a strong Christian prayer warrior and continually prayed for her family. She engaged in deep reflection and study of the Bible. Gail worked for many years as a para-professional and even continued working as a substitute teacher after her retirement because she loved the children so much.
