Franklin S. Morris, age 85, of 1024 Tippettville Road, Vienna, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late Homer Pascal Morris and Elizabeth Jane Sandefur Morris. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of Vienna First Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Mr. Morris had previously served as a County Agent in Turner County. He enjoyed fishing but his greatest love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Augustus Wayne "Chip" Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 4 PM Wednesday, October 19 in Vienna First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
