Charlene Hester, age 58, of Hawkinsville, died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Born in Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Charlie B. Hester and Laura Witherington Hester.  She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and operated Joiner's Store for several years.  She was preceded in death by her step-father, Emmett Joiner and her sister, Mary Jane McDonald.  

Survivors include:

Niece:  Michelle Cook (Brad) of Macon

Nephew:  Michael Borum (Erin) of Knoxville, TN

Great Nephew:  Carter Cook of Macon

Uncle:  Morris Witherington of Eastman

Numerous cousins from the Witherington and Joiner families also survive.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, November 29 in Harmony Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church.
