|rannen-NeSmith Funeral Home has been serving the families of Dooly and surrounding counties for over three-quarters of a century. The funeral homes are located in Vienna and Unadilla and are locally owned and operated by Rodney Brannen and Bill NeSmith.
We have always believed that our primary goal is to provide the highest level of service to those that call upon us during the most difficult time in their lives. The first step toward that goal is to educate families about the many options available to them. Whether a family chooses interment or cremation, it is our responsibility to provide them with as much information as possible in order for them to make informed decisions. Following through on every detail of the arrangements they select is the second step in this process. We believe that families want someone they can trust to carry out their wishes from the moment we are called until the service is complete. Too many funeral directors think the service ends at the cemetery or crematory, but we know that is just not true. By following up with the family after the funeral or memorial service we are able to help with every detail.
Our secondary goal is to provide the best quality merchandise available. We offer a full line of caskets, burial vaults, clothing, urns, urn vaults, register books, acknowledgements, flag cases and cemetery monuments. We also offer the opportunity to personalize each funeral service according to the family's wishes.

Additionally, we believe in building and maintaining trust through community involvement. Each member of our staff is involved in different church or civic activities. We also sponsor many school, athletic and community events. Each year, in May, we give away American flags for displaying on veteran's graves over the Memorial Day weekend and each October, we hold a memorial service for all those that have died over the previous year.
This web site was created as another way for you to acquaint yourself with our funeral home. We invite you to learn about our experienced staff, explore the service options available to you, pre-plan your own arrangements or send a note of condolence to someone with our online register book. If you need further information or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
